Applying to TOCC

Open Door Policy

TOCC admits students by an “open door policy,” which means that anyone can be accepted. Tohono O’odham Community College encourages all students to further their education.

TOCC has separate admissions requirements for ABE/GED, for apprenticeships, and for regular college classes.

Getting Started

Complete the 3-page application. Applications can be downloaded, completed online, or requested in paper-form in person.

Online Applications are under maintenance. Please call 520-479-2305 for the admission department.

Once you've submitted your TOCC-SCAC Application for Admissions, there are additional documents needed to have a complete admissions file. Please submit the following:

1. Proof of Tribal Enrollment  

If a Native American Student, submit one of the following: 

  • Tribal ID Card or  

  • Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) AND State Issued ID 

2. Proof of Residency  

If a Non-Native American Student (or Non-Enrolled Native Student), submit the following:  

  • Driver’s License or

  • State Issued ID 

3. Proof of High School Completion or Equivalent submit the following:

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate with Graduation Date indicated or

  • High School or GED Transcripts with Graduation Date indicated

4. If you are degree-seeking AND have earned credits at another College, send an Official Transcript from previous colleges attended to admissions@tocc.edu

For Federal Financial Aid

  • High School Diploma
  • GED Diploma

Who Can Enroll?

You are eligible for admission if you are:

Some programs have limited admission and may have additional requirements for those students under the age of 16. Email admissions@tocc.edu for details. All students have the opportunity to prepare themselves to meet requirements for entry into any program they choose. 

Required use of social security number and assignment of student ID number

Social Security Cards:

TOCC is required to collect the Social Security Numbers of ALL students who are U.S. citizens, resident aliens or non-citizens (who have been issued a Social Security Number) on the Application for Admission, all local state or federal student financial aid applications and forms, or any forms required for college employment.

Student ID Cards

All TOCC students will be assigned a Student Identification Number.  Student ID Cards are issued in the Student Services Division on the Main Campus.

Graduation Information

Once you have completed the requirements for your certificate or degree, you can apply to graduate from TOCC.

To apply, complete the Graduation Application Form, which will be reviewed and signed by your Academic Advisor. Program of Study Declaration forms may be downloaded here. Prior to submitting your form, please review the following checklist and confirm that:
