S.T.A.R.T
Tohono O’odham Community College’s Students Thriving, Achieving, and Rising Together (START) Initiative engages 9 –12 grade students in college and career readiness programming. The programming provides exposure to higher education and the workforce, providing students with tools and opportunities for success. The program includes in-school workshops, the Dual Enrollment Program, and the Tohono O’odham Summer Achievement Program (T O S-AP).
The S.T.A.R.T. Initiative connects past, present, and future students of Tohono O’odham Community College with alumni, local organizations, and resources. This initiative aims to empower high school students as they navigate their academic and professional career paths. It is rooted in the O’odham cultural values of collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and a community-focused approach.
