The Human Resources Division supports TOCC’s operations with consistent, employee-friendly policies, procedures, and processes. The Personnel Policies and Procedures Handbook is followed to ensure equitable treatment for all employees.
Employees receive an excellent benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k), with basic medical benefits provided at some cost to the employee, and upgraded plans and family coverage included with the employee covering those add-ons.
Supervisory training is offered on a regular basis to assist supervisors with their responsibilities and duties. Employee appraisal training is conducted annually and evaluations are conducted for all employees.
The Human Resources office monitors TOCC’s hiring processes to ensure that fairness and integrity are practiced. Employment positions are advertised openly on TOCC’s website and other venues. Applications are accepted by the Human Resources office, which selects candidates qualified for interviews. All interviews are conducted by panels of three TOCC employees who ask a standard set of questions of all interviewees for a given position. Each panel member tabulates his or her score independently of the others and the combined scores are tabulated by a human resources representative who was present throughout the interview process to monitor the proceedings and insure its integrity and fairness.
The Human Resources office works diligently to improve the capability, skills, and working conditions of TOCC employees. The office sponsors specialized benefits workshops and has also hosted wellness fairs and various health clinics.
